The WMT is an oral test of expressive vocabulary that we have
developed and put on this website for your use. (It's free!)
For this test, the administrator reads a word to the learner, who then
tells what that word means. The advantage of this kind of assessment
is that it does not rely on a learner's ability to read and recognize
a word in order to express its meaning (if he or she knows it).
