ARCS – The Adult Reading Components Study

The ARCS was conducted by John Strucker, Director and Rosalind Kasle Davidson, Assistant Director, with researchers at the National Center for the Study of Adult Learning and Literacy (NCSALL). Although ARCS researchers tested 955 adult learners for the study, the information used to create the Web site profiles is from 569 ABE learners only. In other words, we did not create any Web site profiles of learners in ESOL classes! Please keep this in mind when you use the "Match a Profile" interactive tool.
